For over 100 years, the Rogue Valley has been well-known for its agricultural products. Many people attribute the beginning of this reputation to Harry & David, who grew Riviera Pears here in the late 1880’s.

Today, local farmers grow everything you could want or imagine, whether you are a chef, or simply buying food for your Sunday dinner.

A Market for Every Season

The Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market — designated as one of the 10 best farmers markets in the country by USA Today — showcases everything local, natural and delicious about the region.

The market has more than 150 local growers, crafters and artisan food makers. And that’s just the beginning! The three, open air markets in Ashland and Medford run from March through November. You will find the best seasonal produce, plants, cheeses, meats, baked goods, artisan foods and handcrafted goods from around the Rogue Valley. Plus, there’s music and fun for the whole family.

An Indoor, Winter Market

But what about when the weather changes and everyone heads inside? Then you should visit the Indoor Winter Market, located in the heart of beautiful Phoenix.

Starting December 7th, the market is held indoors for the winter. It will be every Tuesday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. This gorgeous building is the perfect place to shop for fresh produce, handmade gifts and artisan food.

Whether you want the best local foods for your holiday meal, or just want to support your neighborhood farmers and artisans, you can shop in Phoenix all winter long. The winter market will run through February 22, 2022.

Buy Local All Year

The Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market is one of the best in the country. It’s where you’ll find numerous handcrafted foods and goods which showcase the bounty of Southern Oregon.

And as it moves indoors to the Phoenix Civic Plaza, you can continue to support local farmers and artisans during the winter months.
